Thanks, Truelight! This parish is an answer to my prayers. I’m very fortunate to have such a traditional parish within a reasonable driving distance.
I noticed that you too are searching for the right parish (?) on another thread, correct?

I recently had to make a similar decision myself between a parish like the first one you described, a conservative Catholic parish that although had a*verses populum * Mass incorporated some Latin, and mostly said the black and did the red, and an FSSP parish about 20 minutes further away from those two. It was a tough decision because the first parish was the one that I’d been with during my return to the faith and I’d grown familiar and comfortable with it. But in the end, I decided to go to the FSSP Parish whenever it was possible (once, maybe twice a month), and so I registered there. The priest there is a great confessor and offers Mass well.
I hope you’re decision turns out for the best as mine did. I think you’ll enjoy the more orthodox parish and your wife will come around to it. It’d be harder to backslide (not that I’m saying you ever would) at a more traditional parish.

I know there is an FSSP parish in Jersey. I have to see how far away it is from me since I don’t drive.T More,

I would love to be in a parish that offers only the EF. That way my confirmation would be in the EF and my instruction is likely to be traditional instruction.
