P.S. I just absolutely L-O-V-E your signature. That’s me too. 😃

Heh, thank you!

I’m still pretty anxious about tomorrow. I got into a rather unpleasant discussion just a while ago with my grandmother, saying how I’m probably going to just blame my Dad for everything, and blame her.

The healing of yourself might be the first step to healing the family. Even if they don’t want healing, though, you still owe it to yourself.

You don’t need to discuss any of this with them. And after you come home, they will question you. Practice in your mirror saying ā€œThat’s between me and my counselor.ā€

It’s not about applying blame. It’s about recognizing what YOU need to think and learn and perceive so you can heal, or correct damaging thought patterns, or to recognize who helps you and who does not. To set boundaries. I imagine you have to do that first off. Seems your boundaries there are being trampled. After a certain age, you have the right to your own thoughts and opinions. That isn’t to say you have the right to be rude or argumentative to others about it, but other people cannot tell you what to think or how to feel about things.

So set up boundaries. And if you emerge happier or stronger, might lead a few of them to maybe go talk to a counselor. If you find peace, they will want some too.

YES! You have NO need to discuss ANYTHING with your family. Break the conversation if anyone asks… just say, ā€œYou have nothing to worry about - this is about me and is between me and my counselor.ā€ā€¦ then start talking about the weather… or dinner… or anything ELSE! šŸ™‚

Good luck today… one step at a time, and continued prayers for you! šŸ™‚

Well, I had my appointment this morning. My therapist is a very nice older woman, very motherly, and I TOTALLY want to steal the couch in her office, because it’s the plushiest thing I’ve ever sat on in my life.

it went well. It was all Q and A today, which I was glad for,. since I was too nervous to offer an info on my own accord. And the good news is, I only burst into tears once.

I have another appt for next Wednesday

I’m late to responding, but I came back to see how everything went!

So glad to hear it was a good experience!!! GOOD WORK! :D:D:D

Enjoy furniture shopping… hehehe šŸ˜‰
