Decorating my office....Catholic style

I have a small “Holy Spirit” Cross that was given to me at my confirmation when I converted and a small image of Our Lady of Guadalupe in my cubicle.They’re certainly visible, but not necessarily intended to make a “show” to others. To me it acts more as a reminder throughout the day to maintain a good Christian witness and use the time wisely. Of course, I’m typing this at work, so maybe not doing a great job at the latter

I have a small crucifix and a small image of the Sacred Heart between my keyboard and monitor. I also wear a sacred heart medal. I have received quite a few questions about my medal which I am happy to answer. No one has commented about the crucifix or Sacred Heart image.

I agree with the other posters. Subtle, gentle decoration is better.

You say he had an image. One. Not a mini shrine.

What is your intent? Why a **giant **print of the Last Supper? Why not have that as the wallpaper on your computer? I love the work of William Bourguereau especially The Holy Women at the Tomb and The Holy Souls and I have them on my screen, part of Easter and November respectively. No one sees my monitor but me. It’s my private devotion and I can appreciate the artist’s work without being ostentatious. A giant print is kind of ostentatious.

I do have other things too: a rosary, medals tucked drawers, small (smaller than my fist) replica of the The Pieta but all so only I, and very rarely, a coworker sees them. I sort of hide the medals from myself so I can stumble upon them over and over. That’s what works for me.
