I’ve written about her before on here, a lady named Julie and she’s very dear to me, and I thank you for your thoughts and prayers for her.

I love her and feel very deeply for her, and I pray for her every morning that God takes care of her and gives her peace, and every night I say either a rosary and/or divine chaplet for her. My deepest intention for her, other than peace for her in her daily life, is her salvation. I don’t know her state of heart in God’s eyes, but I worry for her in case she might be “lukewarm,” or has let the ills of our culture and politics sway her and clutter her mind and heart (an example is that even though I don’t know, I worry that what if she supports, or is on the fence, with abortion, even though she’s Catholic), and I just pray that if they have, that she is given the grace to see and know. My intention for her is above all that if she’s in need of conversion she’s given the grace to understand and change so that she will grow deeper in her faith…

Though what I’m wondering is if I could also pray that any punishment for her, due to any sins she might have, are lightened for her and that even if she has anything mortal on her soul, that I could somehow make a personal offering for her that would lessen the gravity of her judgment at the end of her earthly life. I don’t know if it “works that way,” but is there a way, or any special prayer I could say for her, that could still save her, even if ordinarily she might not have been? My worry for her is just so heavy on my heart, I love her so deeply, and I can’t bear the thought of her ever being “lost” forever. Even to have to write all of this, I feel I could just cry. I want to do all I can for her. Thankyou for any insight.

It is loving to pray for another.

We do not need to go digging around to know what someone’s sins might be, put this out of your mind. Let the Holy Spirit do the conversion, it is your job and mine to simply love.
