SPOKENWORD:
Concept of a loving God? God is a loving God and He will continue to love us in hell also, because Gods love is unconditional. God Bless
I agree! But I’m not  (Sshhhh…Don’t tell anyone…especially SW… 😉 )

The issue really isn’t the love of God, because our perfect God would perfectly love no matter our final end.

Here we really have to take all we know from the whole context of the Word of God because there are passages in the OT that say that God hates wickedness and only in this way can one get a realistic and accurate picture of the nature of Almighty God.
Pax vobiscum,

VC,
I really enjoyed the article you linked, so I linked it to the other forum. We’ll see what the guy has to say about it.
Thanks!

I posted a really long reply to everyone in this discussion, and the WYSIWYG decided to delete everything I had written.

So please, give a me a minute to stop screaming and reformulate my ideas.

Believers or non-believers, please obtain and wear the Brown Scapuar (you can find various apostolates who will send you one for free, like this one. It is one of the greatest sacramentals the Church has, and Our Lady has attached an unprecedented blessing attached to it in that, “whosoever dies wearing this Scapular shall not suffer eternal fire” - given that it is worn virtuously.

Given what Jesus (in the Scriptures), Mary (at Fatima) and the Saints have said (throughout history) with regards to the innumerable souls who choose Hell, it would be wise to humble oneself and accept all the help that Heaven gives us. Thank God for Mother Mary!

Mary, our Mother, is our powerful advocate, being the Mother of God, the New Arc of the Covenant, and the Queen of Heaven. Please spread devotion to the rosary and the brown scapular for the sake of salvation of souls, for Mary said, “Through the Rosary and Scapular I will save the world.”

God bless you all!

Hell is basically our decision of saying “no” to God’s proposal to enter our lives. God is a gentleman. He will not enter any heart that will not let Him in. He will respect that. Don’t get caught up in the word “punishment”. Hell is more like the natural consequence of a soul who will not want God. If there is no God to want, the only thing left is oneself. That is the torture. That is the pain, for one to be self-consummed for all eternity. Perhaps that’s what the fire in Hell is…our burning ourselves up. Our forever saying “no” to God. Like a snake eating it’s own tail, a forever self-exclusion from God’s presence. Clinging to the sin that we became slaves to. Thank God for what Jesus Did on the Cross. To the Atheist…God DID forgive our sins by suffering Hell for us…(My God, My God, Why has thou forsaken Me). By doing that, He offered a way out of Hell by suffering on the Cross for us and by rising from the dead. The question is, are WE willing to accept that and allow it to become manifest in our lives? That is the difference between salvation and damnation.
