What I like is the fact that not all of these people (thinking of Clive and myself) are Catholic. To me, the value of Catholic reading lies in its catholicity: its universalism.C. S. Lewis made his liar/lunatic/Lord argument in Mere Christianity, and I listened to an Al Kresta tape that expanded on it beautifully, then I stole that example, morphed it into a trumpet-oriented example, and you’re just one more person to build on it. That’s the beauty of Catholicism - 2000 years of people building on each other’s ideas. We don’t have to know everything.
