How would you then explain that some Christian Churches, for example The United Church of Christ (UCC), which is a mainline Protestant Christian denomination primarily in the Reformed tradition but also historically influenced by Lutheranism, also profess and accept the absolute authority of theopneustos Scripture (sola scriptura) as you have done, yet do not condemn abortion as a grave sin, and strongly support abortion rights?“Thou shalt not commit murder.” Murder has always been a sin against God and certainly one’s fellow man (the first recorded was Cain and Abel). With Moses and the Law, for Israel it was not only a sin against God but now a transgression against a specific Divine Commandment. And according to Jesus, one who is but angry with his brother is guilty of murder (Matt. 5:21-22)
