I’ve often wondered why more Catholics haven’t heard of Democrats for Life…an awesome organization that is actually pro-active vs reactive. Some real accomplishments in the area of legislation that follows the pregnancy through the birth with an emphasis on the care, medical expenses, nutrition and essential needs of that infant while the parent/parents seek meaningful work. It’s only right. I haven’t heard the pro-birth movement (yes, I said pro-birth) push for this which should be a true consideration in light of the fact the greatest number of those seeking abortions are those that look at their poverty and feel helpless to see the pregnancy through. Pro-life is wrapped up in status, education, and many times the most basis needs never being met in the mothers own life…NO WOMAN wakes up one morning looking forward to wanting an abortion. Poverty plays a large factor.
