It often comes up in discussions of OSAS the terms “faith” vs. “saving faith” - depending on the person’s viewpoint each passage of scripture in the discussion is taken to mean “faith” (i.e. belief only?) or “saving faith”.

What is the scriptural basis to understand these different meanings of the word faith, are there some specific citations where different meanings for the word can be seen in context? Can you point to any other meanings, or recommend some reading on the subject (church fathers or other)?
