Are you more worried about everyone else’s sins or your own? You are I assume aware that you can take Communion if you have venial sins. Btw have you ever looked into Divine Mercy Novena and Divine Mercy Sunday?

Big difference between mortal sin and venial sin. Maybe make an appointment with your pastor to make sure you don’t fall into scruples.

Have you talked to your priest about scrupulousity? To me it sounds entirely possible you are not legitimately committing mortal sins that often and if you are, you will need spiritual direction to overcome it anyway.

You sound like you may be scrupulous. All that is required of receiving communion is not being aware of any mortal sins being committed since your last confession. Venial sins are impossible to avoid and we can receive even after committing a Venial sin.
It takes actually knowing something is a mortal sin and choosing to do it anyway to put yourself in a state of mortal sin. Are you certain you are almost always in a state of mortal sin? If you lack the control to not commit a mortal sin every single week then something is wrong as it should not be that hard. If you only think you are always committing a mortal sin then you might need to better learn what constitutes mortal sin. It sounds like either way you need some help. I would try to make a appointment to talk to a priest (not the one you talked to before) and explain it all and get some clarity on whether you are free to receive or not.
We will never be completely worthy to receive. It’s something you must come to terms with but Venial sin is not a bar from receiving.

OP, Please, do not judge people like that. There are people that go to confession every week. There are people that only commit venial sins. Don’t worry about them. If you are concerned about yourself not being able to receive, then you are the one that needs to change. Either stop mortally sinning as you are, or get to confession more often.

How exactly do you know what all these people are doing in their private life, or whether they’ve been to Confession?How does one avoid sin long enough to be able to receive Communion in a worthily manner? Every Sunday, I see the same people walking up to take of Communion and it astounds me that they are either that holy or mostly ignorant of what they are doing!
Do you live with them? Did they call you up and give you a detailed report of their week?
I’ve managed to keep myself out of potentially mortal sin (I’m not sure if the sin I thought might be mortal, was, but I confessed it anyway and didn’t do it again) for almost 2 years. That doesn’t mean I never commit a sin, I commit my share of sins every day when I am thoughtless or slothful or uncharitable, if even in my thoughts. But I don’t feel like any of those rose to the level of “mortal”.
I say an Act of Contrition every day, often twice a day, and I recently started doing a nighttime examination of conscience. I’m not doing those things because I’m so holy - they are required for two prayer programs I’m in, so I’m trying to check the required boxes.
One doesn’t have to be “free of sin” as in free of ANY sin to take Communion. Just free of MORTAL sin. Most of us with developed consciences can figure out when something may be approaching “mortal sin” as opposed to just daily thoughtless venial sin.
I am not sure what you are doing that you end up committing a mortal sin within 4 hours of confession, but if you’ve developed some compulsive bad habit like porn or masturbation or shoplifting, then look into breaking it.
As for how I “avoid sin” the rest of the time, I am old and have a boring life and outgrew doing most of my past big sins a long time ago.

I will second the daily (nightly) examination of conscience. It helps you understand where you are drifting away from the mark. Ditto daily Act of Contrition.
It is really unhelpful to attempt to examine other people’s conscience.
