Hi,

I just need prayers to help me resist temptation to seek pornography. I want this sin to be rid from my life. Please pray for me.

Prayer for deliverance from pornography

O God, who didst break the chains of blessed Peter the Apostle and didst make him come forth from prison unscathed, loose the bonds Invisiblewitness, held in captivity by the vice of pornography addiction. By the merits of the same Apostle, do thou grant him to be delivered from this tyranny. Remove from his heart all excessive love of sensual pleasures and gratifications, so that living justly and piously he may attain everlasting life with thee. Amen

Praying to the Holy Spirit to give you guidance, direction, strength & fortitude to overcome your temptations.
 
Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

I also recommend that you go as often as possible to Mass, Confession and especially spend time (at least an hour) before the Blessed Sacrament!

As St Paul says in the second letter to the Corinthians, you are a temple of the Holy Spirit and Christ dwells in you. There is no room for sin in a heart which seeks after Jesus.

The Psalms tell us that God owns the earth and everything that lives on it, so you should not use your free will to sin.

I say this as one who has struggled, also.

In pornography, people are objectified, they are degraded, they are belittled, and humiliated, even if they are not presently aware of it.
 
Praying that God will remove your desire to seek pornography and also help you to avoid this sin.

From someone who’s been there and was there for an awful nearly three years, keep praying to Our Lord, Jesus Christ. He delivered me, and I haven’t seen, not even a pornographic picture for over fourteen years, the amount of time I have been back in the Catholic Church. Now, when I have a pornographic sort of dream, it’s not unusual that I’ll ask Our Lord to save me from it (during the dream) and I come out of it.

Much prayer and much fruit. Jesus loves you. He doesn’t want you wallowing in the mire.

My God, You have given me a body to keep pure and clean and healthy for Your service and my eternal happiness. Forgive me for all my unfaithfulness in this great responsibility. Forgive me for every mean use which I have made of Your gifts in thought, word or deed since my rebirth as Your own adopted child in Baptism and my registration as a soldier of Jesus on the day of my Confirmation. Create in me a clean heart, O God, and give me a steadfast will that I may be a strength to others around me. Teach me to respect my body and the bodies of my fellow creatures. Help me to see the glory of perfect manhood In Jesus Christ and of perfect womanhood in Mary Immaculate.
