You might want to try this short prayer anytime you are feeling pulled toward this “incense magic”, or anytime you are feeling tempted or attacked by some negative force.

By the power of the Holy Spirit in the name of Jesus I pray…I am saved by the blood of Christ Jesus who died on the cross for me. The same blood that has crushed your power and your strength, so begone Satan.
You should not use imprecatory prayer.

Can you please briefly explain what imprecatory prayer is? 🤷
Any command directed toward the demon. You should only pray by calling upon God, the saints or angels.

Instead of:
I rebuke you…
Begone…

Say:
God rebuke…

Try this prayer insted:
Saint Michael the Archangel,
defend us in battle;
be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray:
and do thou, O Prince of the heavenly host,
by the power of God,
cast (thrust) into hell Satan and all (other) evil spirits
who wander through the world seeking the ruin of souls.
Amen

Oh ok. Yeah I remember reading about that once before. Basically if you try to command the demon to do something yourself, the demon may turn on you. But if you ask God or an angel or saint to do something about it, it is much more likely to happen successfully because they know what they are doing and have the ability to do it while we don’t.

Hi Holly,

Kevstar is right. Don’t address the spirits directly at all.

After finding a good priest, it would be worth it to listen to a few Catholic Answers radio shows on this topic. Unfortunately, I can’t link directly to the shows, but you can search each month for shows by Father Thomas Euteneuer and Sharon Lee Giganti:

I’ll say a Saint Michael Prayer for you!

What is this incense majik thing anyway?

I mean if you are addicted to burning incense - burn it in the name of God, there’s nothing wrong with burning incense.

What else were you doing besides burning incense?

Basically most kinds of incense contain a magical property. Dragons Blood incense for example reduces negativity. Well, what we’d do is we’d offer the incense up to the “lord” which in reality was Satan and then we’d burn it expecting the burning of the incense to dispel negativity. It was pretty simply magic but it was rather addicting and I say that it opens you up to demons as well.

When you say “we” who are you talking about? Do you still hang out with these people, and if so, I would suggest you stop associating with them.

I’m talking primarily about my partner in the magical rituals. I won’t name him for privacy reasons. But anyway, I don’t associate with him anymore. I don’t even know where he lives anymore. He has since quit messing with Wizardry as well though now he is more of an Atheist/Agnostic.

Well, I’d say you are on the right track now.

I love to burn incense, but I use it like I use holy water, to purify my home. Maybe you could try doing that. Get some good incense, like myrrh and frankincense. You can get it from Catholic supply stores.

What do you mean by you use it to purify your home? I ask because with the dragons blood incense, we used it to purify our homes and areas of negativity. Is this similar to what you are doing? Is this acceptable in the eyes of the Church? 🤷

Sure, just like the church uses holy water and incense, I’m purifying my home from any evil (Satanic) influences.

That’s why I’m confused about what you are doing! What do you mean by negativity?

Dear Holly,

I recommend for you the same advice I gave another poster recently in another thread. Click here for that post.

I meant things like negative emotions and demonic influences and such. Of course, as a member of the Occult we worshiped the Devil (though we did not know it). We believed in good spirits and bad spirits. All of which were demons by the way. But we believed that we could banish the bad spirits through certain types of incense magic.

Thank you Becky. 🙂
I am truely sorry for misguiding you with that prayer.

Thank you kevstar31 for correcting me.
Don’t worry about it frank! 🙂

Well everyone, I made a huge step just now. I used to be heavily obsessed with dragons. I had one last dragon statue left. I destroyed it. It was a plastic one and I didn’t think it’d break if I dropped it but I took the chance and just let it drop from my height standing up to the floor. It fell about 5’3-4". Well, it busted. At first I was shocked and terrified. I don’t know if I felt like demons were going to try to get back at me for destroying it or what but I was quite terrified. Then, in order to calm myself down, I threw the pieces away and sprinkled them with holy water while praying the St. Michael the Archangel prayer to rid them of any demonic attachments that they may have brought in to my apartment. After doing this, I calmed down a huge amount. I now sincerely believe that demons were trying to take revenge on me until I blessed and purified the fragments of the old dragon (pun intended).

Then I decided to take action against the incense in my apartment. I blessed and purified the incense and incense holders in my apartment. Again, I prayed the St. Michael the Archangel prayer over them while sprinkling them with holy water.

I also did the same thing with my swords which I had a milder obsession with. I intend to get rid of the swords too. But what should I do? Should I throw them out or sell them?🤷 I can easily sell them at an auction on Friday if I want to. What would you recommend? The one sword is grotesque looking and is shaped like a demon at the hilt. I am not sure that I want anyone getting a hold of that. I am thinking that maybe I should just throw them both away? 🤷

👍 Way to go Holly3278!!! :extrahappy:

First off- Great progress, Holly! Good job! 👍 🙂 😃

Secondly, about the swords- I suggest that if they have any demonic attachment, you should consult a priest about what to do about it. He should advise you. If they have no attachments, I would consider them safe to sell. Just don’t give an attached sword to somebody. They could be bringing demons into their home.

I have to ask, though, did you see my video that I suggested?
