I’ve noticed over the years that the religious (catholics especially) only talk about abortion when it comes to politics. I watched a documentary on the '04 election and when asked why their vote would be for Bush, the only thing they mentioned was pro-life, and when asked about other issues…silence. Ok, I could let go the pro-choice stance because it’s the very least important issue to me. I feel like Republicans can easily grab the religious vote because those voters know very little about other issues in politics, and then the leaders can then do more harm on many other important issues. In other words, it could be a larger net harm. Abortion is just one issue. Why not focus on other issues that actually have more influence to the lives already on earth?
