Demonic Harrassment

Look up the St. Theresa emergency prayer. Go to a priest and tell him what is going on. Get evaluated to see if sleep paralysis isn’t on the table. You never know, both could be happening, but you must do your due diligence. All of this will hold more water if you tell a priest you have seen a doctor. Order the book on spiritual warfare from Paul Thigpen.

I will pray for you.

I have actually heard about people saying how the St. Michael prayer was not so effective. Why is this?

CoffeeFanatic, what were the dreams like if you don’t mind me asking? I have indeed been having intense dreams, I don’t know how to describe them, very weird stuff.

Dreams where I’d wake up, but my house would be dark, none of the lights would work, my family wouldn’t be anywhere around, and then the phone would ring. I’d hide under the bed, but the voice on the phone would let me know they weren’t coming back and it knew where I was and was coming for me. That kind of thing.

Are your sacramentals, icons, medals blessed? Has your home been blessed? One should ideally have their home blessed each year before Lent. I had a home exorcized by a priest after I found out our renter’s wife was into the occult. He was a protestant pastor. No problem living there after that. There had been a ominous dark pressure there before. After the home was blessed it was as if the roof was lifted and a lightness filled the home.

You know, Casilda, I really should. Yes, all the icons and medals, every one, have been blessed. This, in addition to dousing the room and other rooms in holy water every other day and before I go to sleep. But I do wonder who was living in our apartment before we moved in. We have had nothing but bad luck from the moment we moved in here. Things breaking down all the time, negativity, tension, stress, etc. The only thing I do know is that the woman that lived here was very dirty. But since its an apartment, I have no idea what other tenants in the building are doing. We live in such a dark age, you never know.

Just thought of something: the night this happened, my St. Benedict medal had fallen apart (the glue holding it I guess got weak and gave way, loosening the actual part with the prayers on it) and I put it back inside by taping it together. Could that possibly have weakened or affected it? I wouldn’t think so, considering it is not an amulet or anything and it’s the prayer that counts.

To the two who flagged my post earlier thinking I was somehow suggesting a person should not seek medical help. That was not my point, my point was that secular doctors will not believe or be able to diagnoss the demonic. What happens if they misdiagnos a person and prescribe a mind altering drug thinking the person is seeing or hearing things? That person then becomes even more vulnerable and reality becomes masked.

There are those of us who have REAL experience with demonic attacks. We know how dangerous and frightening it can be. We also know first hand how occurrences that at first seem to be trivial in nature can escalate into a life threatening situation over time. Taking the demonic lightly is the worst possible advice you could give a person who may be on the verge of a full blown attack.

Just read post number 17 by CoffeeFanatic, who also has experience. Ask him about having others believe him. And just like he said, he would not wish the experience on his worst enemy, I feel you brother, and that’s why I sound the alarm at any sign or mention of a demonic attack. Been there done that and I will never ever underestimate evil again.

Again: No one is saying that demonic attacks don’t sometimes occur. There are a lot of people on the forum who have experienced some kind of demonic attack or presence; they don’t all post about it on the forum. Your statement “There are those of us who have REAL experience with demonic attacks” is patronizing as you seem to think it’s some special thing that gives you some special knowledge of demonic attacks.

However, there is a reasonable basis here for thinking the OP may have a medical problem, and he should not be discouraged from seeking medical help.

Demons like to play games and do things to get under your skin, which includes voices, whistling, electronic devices doing strange things, and objects being moved. This is what peeked my wife’s curiosity at first and later got us into such a bad situation. Knowing what I do now and looking back, if unexplained things become more frequent do not try to rationalize them away, document them and see things collectively. My mistake was second guessing myself and not grasping how real things were.

Going to see a priest may or may not be beneficial, it won’t hurt, but it’s hard to guage how much he will actually believe you. Perhaps you should get a priest to come to your home who specializes in discerning the demonic.

Will be praying for you.

Tis, I’m in no way saying he does not have a medical problem. If you think I’m boasting or think I believe I have some special knowledge you just don’t understand. After what happened to my wife and I would be ungrateful to God if I did not share my experience to help others who might become victims. It is true many have experiences with demons, but it is also true, and unfortunate that some of us have experienced EXTREME (not yelling, emphasis) attacks, and it is our duty and calling from God to make others fully aware of the dangers.

When you hear the person you love most murmering, screaming in terror, at times unable to breathe, eyes that looked like a dead person, eyes that rolled back, when their nails are dug into your back as they shake in the most horrible fear imaginable unable to escape, maybe then you would understand my position. I relive that night in my mind over and over.

My apologies too you if I take demons a bit more serious than most, like a soldier in battle has PTSD, I’m scarred for life, and ALL I want to do is do all I can to not let what happened to us happen to another. I know not every situation is a demon or even a major demon, BUT, isn’t it better to be prepared for the worst than to over look it?

Once again, I’m not trying to persuade anyone not to go to a doctor, ONLY that a doctor can not and is not qualified to discern the demonic.

God bless you, and I always enjoy reading your awesome posts. You too have been through a lot in life and my prayers are with you always.

Interesting event thanks for sharing this personal experience. We all will pray for your understanding of this
