I came across a reference in a work by Saint Alfonso Maria de Liguori mentioning Denis the Carthusian. Yikes! Everything he wrote seems to still be in Latin. I could struggle my way through it, but before I do…

Has anyone ever read any Denis the Carthusians work?
 
I haven’t read any of his work but have been taken into a Carthusian monastery which is usually a privilege reserved for the clergy. I was deeply impressed by their spirituality which must owe much to the images of Carthusian martyrs on the walls together with relics and manuscripts dating back more than a thousand years! The Great Cloister is one of the largest in the world (over 1km) and connects the hermitages to the chapel.
