I need some prayers, please. I’m feeling depressed, unhappy, like I’m going to go to hell. I want to trust in God and love Him more though! But I keep falling into sin…

Hail Mary,
Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb,
Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of our death.
Amen

*Eternal God, in whom mercy is endless and the treasury of compassion - inexhaustible, look kindly upon us and increase your mercy in us, that in difficult moments we might not despair nor become despondent, but with great confidence submit ourselves to your holy will, which is love and mercy itself. Amen. * :crossrc:

Look into the message of Divine Mercy (thedivinemercy.org/) – the above prayer is the optional closing prayer for the chaplet of Divine Mercy. :hug1:

I’ll pray, Nickname. :gopray:

Here are a few prayers which I hope will comfort you:

PRAYER AGAINST DEPRESSION
(By Saint Ignatius of Loyola)

O Christ Jesus,
when all is darkness
and we feel our weakness and helplessness,
give us the sense of Your presence,
Your love, and Your strength.
Help us to have perfect trust
in Your protecting love
and strengthening power,
so that nothing may frighten or worry us,
for, living close to You,
we shall see Your hand,
Your purpose, Your will through all things.

PRAYER FOR HOLINESS

Breathe in me,
O Holy Spirit,
that my thoughts may all be holy.

Act in me,
O Holy Spirit,
that my work, too, may be holy.

Draw my heart,
O Holy Spirit,
that I love only what is holy.

Strengthen me,
O Holy Spirit,
to defend all that is holy.

Guard me so,
O Holy Spirit,
that I may always be holy.

Amen.

ACT OF HOPE # 4
(By Saint Augustine of Hippo)

For Your mercies’ sake, O Lord my God,
tell me what You are to me.
Say to my soul: “I am your salvation.”
So speak that I may hear, O Lord;
my heart is listening;
open it that it may hear You,
and say to my soul: “I am your salvation.”
After hearing this word,
may I come in haste to take hold of you.
Hide not Your face from me.
Let me see Your face even if I die,
lest I die with longing to see it.
The house of my soul is too small to receive You;
let it be enlarged by You.
It is all in ruins;
do You repair it.
There are thing in it,
I confess and I know,
that must offend Your sight.
But who shall cleanse it?
Or to what others besides You shall I cry out?
From my secret sins cleanse me, O Lord,
and from those of others spare your servant.

Amen.

Jesus, I trust in You.
Jesus, You are my only hope.
Jesus, I offer you all the pain of my anguish.
Please accept it and unite it to your sacrifice for the redemption of the world.

Many of our most holy saints went through a dark night in which they felt abandoned by God, most recently Mother Teresa. The reason they are saints is they persevered in faith.

By the power of your will you can will yourself to hope in God.

Nick, I love your conversion story! The Lord has given you great spiritual gifts. With great gifts often comes great tribulation.

Mother Teresa said, “I know God will not give me anything I can’t handle. I just wish that He didn’t trust me so much.”

You can overcome whatever sin is controlling you.

My prayers, empathy and understanding are with you.

Jesus who told us to continue forgiving our brothers and sisters endlessly, please let our brother know that as he continues to sincerely try to do good, You forgive his sins each time he falls…and You indeed continue to love him.

I am praying for you. dt
A stranger asked for prayers. So many have responded.

Why?

This is the living communion of saints. Our hearts and souls are united in love for one another. It is beautiful, and God sees it.

We try to hold one another up to God, all of us in need of mercy.

God hear us. Come to our aid.

Mary help of Christians, pray for us, who are crushed and broken in sin and sorrow.

God only your love can heal us. Give us the grace to be receptive to your mercy and love.

If you are feeling depressed then you should pray the rosary. I have depression problem since I was little. I have been counceling with my churches priest and he said that praying the rosary at least once a week (and if you say it more than that, the better) that I would feel better. I will be honest with you, I do not say it hardly at all but when I do say it when ever I really feel good, and it seems that around the time I say it good things happen to me. I am deffinantly working on saying it every day. Praying the rosary really works…Trust me. 👍
