Depression continuing and wishing I were dead

I know I’ve already asked for prayers since my husband lost his job, but I am again.

I keep feeling worse - I am seeing my therapist more often and psychiatrist - and am wishing I were dead, which I know is a terrible sin.

Please pray for me.

Please pray for the Lord to forgive me.
 
Praying to St. Dymphna for your health & recovery. Praying to St. Joseph for your husband to secure employment.
 
Wishing one were dead can be interpreted as yearning for the beatific vision to come sooner, but of course your particular position in life would mean that your death would cause undue grief on your loved ones. I’m praying for you to defeat your depression.

I’ve been battling depression for over 3 decades. Offer up your depression for the conversion of sinners or the Poor Souls in Purgatory.
 
Wishing that you are dead is not a sin, though actually making that happen would be. I will pray for you.
