Iā€™ve got a colleague from this part of the world and she thinks itā€™s hilarious. The humour wouldnā€™t translate stateside to be honest
Why not?

I found it funny and Iā€™m in the US.

Sorry you had to encounter such profound ignorance from this American couple.

Itā€™s like a coworker of mine who was told to go back to Pakistan when he isnā€™t even Pakistani.

I guess idiots are everywhere.

Iā€™ve been asked on occasion if I speak English and Iā€™m tempted to pull off something like this.

Just for funā€¦The 2nd season of Derry girls came out on Netflix. From my experience, there is some element of truth to the entire thing. šŸ˜œ

At first I wasnā€™t sure if I should be offended or amused. Iā€™m leaning towards the latter.

ā€œAre you a fully blown protestant?ā€

ā€œSister Michael, I donā€™t have a Protestant!ā€

In another episode everybody is confused on the difference between a vegetarian and a lesbian.

this video is hilarious

Oh wow! I was continuing to watch Derry Girls tonight. This is trippy.

Has anybody ever watched a TV show and thought this is completely about my family?

In some cases they havenā€™t even bothered to change the names, situations, and personalities for particular characters.

Watching Derry Girls too.

My favorite so far is the show where the family takes a trip out of town to avoid the Orange Order parade and inadvertently pick up a hitchhiker who may or may not be in the IRA.

I also noticed the low grade ā€œhostilityā€ the father in law had with the son in law.
