Desertnuns on LOTR

For anyone that likes EWTN and their nuns, the “desertnuns” that moved to Arizona, are going to be on LOTR again 08/07 at 8pm. I like them and I hope they have good news to tell. They lost one sister, but they have a lot of inquires and someone donated quite a bit of money to help the beginning of their monastary.It’s ggoing to be beautiful.

Also on a sidenote, Fr. Groechel said on his show last night, during his pitch for donations to EWTN that Mother Angelica was ill. Please say a prayer for her…she can’t be very strong right now.

Am I the only one who thought this was going to be about Nuns making a statement on the virtues of Lord of the Rings?
 
Well, I know that would have my twin girls interest! They love that series…the nuns are on tomorrow and the last show was pretty good. I noticed (but don’t watch every week) that they seemed to stop the phone calls, and just take emails which you can send on the EWTN site, under their TV show section. I might be reaching, but it seems to have stopped after one woman said her question which I’m sure was screened and then asked about Fr. Francis…they don’t have the ability or desire to have a delay, so maybe it’s better this way, but a bit over the top. Again, I might be wrong, but that’s the last time I saw that part of it.
 
I enjoyed seeing the sisters, but didn’t think they had much time to talk. The old format was about 10 minutes of news and the guests got the rest…now it seems like 30 minutes of clips/news and the guest gets about 15 minutes with breaks.
I think the desert nuns will get their monastary one day and I hope they have many people pass through and feel blessed.
