I’m sorry a question has made you so emotional. The Dominicans seem upset that you do not desire to be a priest in their diocese. It appeared to me that you didn’t want to be with them because you wanted to travel. So I asked, but instead of saying yes or no you got upset.
My suggestion is that you listen to the Dominicans in your diocese and ask them for guidance. They are a very active group that loves spreading the word of God. For those who desire to be priests and love speaking with others around them they sound like a great order. I will pray for you.

I’m sure you already know this, but there is nothing wrong with choosing diocesan over Dominican if that’s your vocation. Vocations are as unique as we are. Two wonderful Carmelite priests I know both started out elsewhere - one got through part of formation with a Franciscan community, the other actually served as a diocesan priest for a few years before he joined the Carmelites. There is nothing wrong with either the Franciscans or the diocese, they were just being called elsewhere.
Africans most times get insulted for vocation boom.
Ignore such ignorant remarks. My parish (I’m American) is very grateful for our holy and devout, foreign priests

Brother why? Why are they like that? If you are called by God why won’t they accept you? Here in the philipines the seminaries doesn’t require you to attend any minor seminary. I’m currently an altar boy trying to figure out if God is truly calling me.

God bless and I hope you get accepted in a foreign country because here we have and African priest his very friendly and loves to share stories of the time when he was in Africa.

I’ll pray for you!
