This story has just hit the news here in Ireland. Anyone know what the ‘technicality’ is that caused Fr Gallagher’s residency application to be refused?

Not that we won’t be happy to have him back but it seems a shame that the matter cannot be resolved.

We had a priest from India that was forced to leave the US. He had an expired VISA and was told he had to go back home and then reapply.
