Please pray - I know other people have burdens maybe bigger than mine, but I’m SO overwhelmed. Long story - try to be brief with a list - Dealing the past year with an addicted son who had a baby 8 weeks ago with his girlfriend, loss of income for our household with LOTS of bills, husband’s health issues/surgeries, going through an annulment, lawsuit (2.5 years ago bought a car - leased car turned in disappeared off the dealer’s lot and they are holding me liable for $12,000+ when they said they would handle it all), trying to contribute more to my job to get a better raise and running into brick walls. I am working to give it all to God, but feeling frantic. I know I only get what I can handle, but I feel as if I’m past that point. I can’t eat, sleep or concentrate. I implore you to offer a prayer on my behalf and include you all in mine. Thank you.

A PRAYER FOR COMFORT IN THE MIDST OF DESPAIR

O God, you know the emptiness of my heart. Sometimes I wonder if you are there—if you hear—if there is any hope that my situation will be different. When loneliness looms around me, when my questions are unanswered, when no one seems to care, when days and nights go on and on with no change, when I fall deeper into despair, I pray that you will let your peace fall upon me as gently as the spring rain that waters the earth. Remind me of your unconditional and eternal love for me. Assure me of your presence. Fill my heart with the hope that my life is held in your hand. Lift my pain from so that joy may flow freely again through me. I ask this for the sake of your love. Amen.

I deeply appreciate the prayers and gain comfort from them. Thank you so much. Additionally, now my son’s girlfriend is in the hospital with a 5mm kidney stone that won’t pass. He is missing work to stay with the baby. Please pray he doesn’t lose his job and that she can manage well. She has no insurance. Thanks and God bless you.
 
Our Father, Who art in heaven, Hallowed be Thy Name. Thy Kingdom come. Thy Will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation,

I work for a big medical center. We have an employee assistance program, where we can go for help – legal advice, social work counseling, financial counsel. A department administrator can arrange pay advances. If you work for a big company, they probably have something similar.

I just want to thank everyone who has been so gracious and generous with their prayers - my situation hasn’t changed one iota - in fact, son’s girlfriend is having surgery tomorrow, so he can’t work to watch the baby and they have no insurance and little income. However, I firmly believe that due to your prayers, I feel less panicky and more resolved to carry the burdens I am given. Please keep praying that I may remain in this state rather than the other. I truly appreciate your kindness. God bless you and thank you from the bottom of my heart.
