Hello all,

this is my first post in CAF, and am new here. I found this site, and thought that I could have people pray for me ( I sometimes think that I am not worthy to pray for myself).
I am Catholic, and a father of a wonderful ( naughty) seven year old, and husband to a loving, supportive wife. I am indeed blessed, and thank God for all I have ( most importantly, health).

Where I could use everyone’s prayers is for my career. Real job-satisfaction has eluded me for about 13 years now. I have made the most of all opportunities that have come my way, and more than once made lemon juice when life handed me lemons. But I have struggled uphill, with mental burdens that now make me weary, and rob me of my peace of mind. I alone am supporting my family, and feel my strength and determination grow a little less with each passing day. So many years of struggling have started to take their toll.

I only pray for a job that suits my talents ( I come from a creative profession), and skills. I do not pray for a job that makes me a lot of money, for I have never really bothered with it ( and never lacked basic creature comforts…another blessing) My family and I have always opened our home and hearts to whoever needed it, and we honestly believe that that is the reason we lack for nothing.

My wife and I have great faith in our Lady, and a Hail Mary is second nature whenever there is an unexpected trouble or situation.

All is ask is for things to shift on my career front, as I can see it eating away at me, and consequently my family life.

A big God Bless to everyone who has taken the time to read this…

Welcome to CAF!

May you place all of your confidence in God’s merciful love (his holy will) fully abandoned to his merciful love. May God give you the strength and courage to keep persevering and may he continue to bless you with a strong faith. May the Blessed Virgin grant you all the graces you need to perform all your duties well and with love, and may she intercede constantly for you to keep as healthy as possible in mind, body and spirit. May God grant you a new job in accordance with his will. May you be patient and faithful until God grants you a new job. May you not be fearful but may you place all of your trust in the Lord’s goodness and providence. Amen.

Hi NomenNominandum, I can very much relate to your current situation with a spouse and a 7 year old child and a job that’s less than fulfilling, and I sympathise with you. In addition to this Hail Mary I’ll pray a Chaplet of Divine Mercy for your intention tomorrow. Ave Maria gratia plena Dominis tecum, benedicta tu in mulieribus et benedictus fructus ventri tui, Iesus Sancta Maria, Mater Dei et mater nostra, ora pro nobis peccatoribus nunc et in hora mortis nostrae. Amen.

St Joseph who supported Jesus and Mary with your craftsmanship. please pray powerfully for this devoted husband and father, who also needs to support his family through his own special gifts and crafts.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women and
blessed is the Fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners
now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Just prayed for you, and will continue to do so for some time but won’t post it. God’s blessing.

Ready, Robertanthony, Trishie, Reindeer, St.Gabriel…I am touched that all of you as total strangers, can spare the time and love for me.

Love to all.

PATER NOSTER,
qui es in caelis,
sanctificetur nomen tuum.
Adveniat regnum tuum.
Fiat voluntas tua, sicut in caelo et in terra.
Panem nostrum quotidianum da nobis hodie,
et dimitte nobis debita nostra
sicut et nos dimittimus debitoribus nostris.
Et ne nos inducas in tentationem,
sed libera nos a malo. Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women and
blessed is the Fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners
now and at the hour of our death. Amen.
