Hi,

My dad’s girl friend , Lynne Marie Butler, died yesterday at 11:10AM(She was only 42). Her doctors discovered two forms of cancer in her body: Squamus and Adno (I think those are the names, sorry for misspelling.) They discovered the cancer about 5 days ago, and then she went very fast. Lynne left behind three adult children who are suffering very badly with the loss of their mother. My dad is severely affected by her death as well.

You see, my dad was with Lynne for about 2 years and he is broken hearted and he feels alienated by her family. Please pray that my dad, Fred, can find a place to live and that Jesus gives him peace that he so rightly deserves. (Just to let you know, my dad is disabled and is on disability.)

Summary of intentions:

Please:

1)Pray for Lynne’s soul
2)Pray to comfort Lynne’s family and her kids.
3)Pray that my dad finds a home and that Jesus gives him a renewed happiness, peace, and focus in his life that he needs.

We appreciate your thoughts and prayers in this desperate hour.

In His Love,

Nathan

She and those who knew her are in my prayers. Your dad is in my prayers in a special way

I’ll pray for all these intentions, Nathan.

PRAYER IN TIME
OF BEREAVEMENT

Dearest Jesus, who wept at the death of your friend
and taught that they who mourn shall be comforted,
grant us the comfort of your presence in our loss.
Send Your Holy Spirit to direct us
lest we make hasty or foolish decisions.
Send Your Spirit to give us courage
lest through fear we recoil from living.
Send Your Spirit to bring us your peace
lest bitterness, false guilt, or regret take root in our hearts.

The Lord has given.
The Lord has taken away.
Blessed be the name of the Lord.

Amen.

O sweet mother Mary,
who knew the sadness of mourning those your heart loved most,
Jesus, your Son,
and Joseph, your devoted spouse,

Pray for us in our time of loss.

Amen.

Loving God,

We come before you this evening and thank you for the many blessings in our lives and ask for your continued love and protection for us. We lift the concerns and intentions of our brother Nathan tonight who is very concerned about his father and the loss of his father’s girlfriend. These events are very tramatic in our brother’s life and he wants to do the best he can to support his father and provide love and care to the family of his father’s girlfriend. We know that our Lord Jesus is the Good Shepherd and he told us in Holy Scripture that he was preparing a place for each of us and that he would be ready to receive us when it was our time. (Luke, Chapter 14) Jesus said, “Do not let your hearts be troubled. You have faith in God; have faith also in me. In my Father’s house there are many dwelling places. If there were not, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back again and take you to myself, so that where I am you may also be.” Dear Jesus, we pray that you will take Lynn Marie to the place you have prepared for her. We pray that your Holy Spirit will bless and give courage and strength to all who mourn for Lynn Marie and pray for her soul. Please grant peace and comfort to all who cared for Lynn Marie and help them to know that she will be received into that special place You have prepared for her in your Father’s house. We also lift up the intentions for Fred and hope and pray that you will have mercy on him, provide him with a strong faith and hope in you, and that his needs for shelter and basic care may be met. Lord, you love your children and want them to be joyful and happy in your love, please strengthen Fred and grant him fortitude and grace during this time. Please bless Nathan as he cares for and ministers to his father and Lynn Marie’s family.

We pray in the name of your beloved son Jesus, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God for ever and ever.

Amen.

I’ll pray for all these intentions, Nathan.

Morwenna, thank you for sharing these prayers,
With all my heart, ‘amen’

Praying for your intentions. This is very sad, it seems that death should bring people together in their grief. I hope God will comfort them all and bring them together to celebrate their love for Lynne.

Hello everyone and thank you for your prayers!

Just wanted to add a quick note: My dad and I are going to attend the viewing of Lynne tomorrow, but we are both kind of uneasy. Her family is being kind of cold towards us and that’s making things kind of difficult. Lynne’s family is very stuck up and snobby. I guess the point I’m trying to make is that it’s hard going into a situation where you’re really not wanted.

If you could, please pray that everything goes smoothly at the viewing tomorrow.

Again, thanks so much for all of your prayers.

God bless,

Nathan

through the mercy of God rest in peace.
