Desperately worried for my son and his choices in life

Praying hard for you and Tom and may Our Lord take hold of and guide the events in Tom’s life. Entrusting you both to Our Lady’s motherly guidance:

Jesus, we trust in You!

We take refuge under thy protection,
O holy Mother of God;
despise not our prayers for Teresa and Tom
in their necessities,
but deliver them always
from all dangers,
O glorious and blessed Virgin. Amen.
 
Sacred heart of Jesus please give teresa the strenght she needs today for Tom. Please protect both of them today
 
Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

Ease our doubting, as You did Thomas.
Guide our searching for peace,

but that we may seek it in You.
Lord Jesus, dwell in us and give us Your peace.

Dear Lord please bless and sustain Teresa through this time and please instill in Tom’s life a great need to know Your love and friendship.

Holy Mary, full of the presence of God during your life you accepted with great humility the Holy Will of the Father and the legacy of your Son Our Lord Jesus Christ. Evil never dared to entangle you with its confusion.
Since then you have interceded for all of our difficulties. With all simplicity and patience you have given us examples on how to untangle the knots in our complicated lives. By being our Mother forever, you arrange and make clear the path that unites us to Our Lord.
Holy Mary, Mother of God and ours, with your maternal heart untie the knots that upset our lives. We ask you to receive in your hands
Tom and Teresa
and deliver us from the chains and confusions that have us restrained.
Blessed Virgin Mary, through your grace, your intercession and by your example, deliver us from evil and untie the knots that keep us from uniting with God, so that once free of every confusion and error, we may find Him in all things, have Him in our hearts and serve him always in our brothers and sisters.

Thankyou dear friends for all your prayers. Unfortunately the case was adjourned yesterday until August 30th as the report from the Probation service had not arrived.In order for the Magistrates to sentence my son they need to see the in depth report on him compiled by the probation service.
It was a stressful day as I felt Tom did not have the right attitude.I feel my husband and I are constantly being tested and pushed to our limits.My husband took the afternoon off work to be with us both for the court hearing.
This morning however Tom appears to have a more respectful attitude and I took him to his probation appointment (where he is also getting alcohol addcition counselling and support)then on to stay at his friends house until Sunday as my husband and I need the break from him.We love him so much but he needs to change his life so much.
I can feel God’s help throughout all of this.My husband & I are so grateful to each of you for your prayers.

Lord thankyou for hearing all our prayers for Tom.I continue to pray that he will be guided by You and change his attitude about his life get a job and become a mature responsible adult.He has so many wonderful qualities but he is so caught up in this young frame of mind of irresponsibility. I pray he will become the wonderful young man I know he can be.I pray that Your will be done for him.Amen

Thanks for the update Teresa, although it still is not over for you. I totally get what is going on, you know that! I think of you often throughout the day, and will continue to pray for you and John as much as for young Tom. Hugs to you.
 
Merciful God , I ask you , both humbly and sincerely to watch over Teresa’s youngest son, Tom, and keep him safe . Lord , please continue to help him , and guide him to make the right choices in his life . Please help him to realise and be sorry for the distress and worry he is causing his mother , our dear friend Teresa , Help him grow in maturity in his life , and accept responsibility both for himself and also for his lovely young children . Please help , comfort and sustain his mother in her worry , despair and distress. Merciful God , we trust in Your love and compassion . Amen .
