When we love our children, even those with children, we often only enable their behavior by trying to solve their problems or by bailing them out of trouble. If he is constantly having these issues, it sounds like he needs to experience the “natural consequences” of his actions and poor choices.

It is very hard to standby and watch our children make mistakes and have trouble with the law. He, however, needs to grow up and part of this process requires he resume responsibility for his actions. I had a person once share that they finally realized their children really belong to God and that parents have the honor to care for them until they are adults but there is a time where we must hand our children over to God trusting he shall love, care for, heal, and transform them. This involves praying for children and interceding on their behalf knowing when we ask for good things, God responds.

I fear he may need to experience jail and make other mistakes as part of the learning and growth process we have all experienced. Release him into the caring arms of his heavenly Father.
