Absolutly horrible! I knew MSNBC was liberal, but are there any standards!

From the article:
"Robinson feels that people who use the Bible to condemn homosexuals fail to understand Scripture. It is called an abomination for a man to lie with another man as with a woman, but, he writes, the Bible also says it is an abomination to eat pork or shellfish, to wear clothing made of two different fibers, or to sow two different types of seed in the same field.

We’ve often misinterpreted Scripture,” Robinson told Lauer. “We’ve used Scripture to justify slavery; the subjugation of women. And now we’re realizing that what the Bible initially seems to say about same-sex relationships is not actually what we’re talking about today — faithful, monogamous, lifelong-intentioned relationships between people of the same sex.”

This is exactly why only the Catholic Church, the divinely revealed religion, has the authority to interpret scripture.

How convenient that he had forgotten Genesis - when God created man and woman. He must’ve interpreted Cain and Abel to be a couple!

Do not condemn this man, but keep him and his “partner” both in your prayers. They desperately need them.

You know what…thanks be to God for Gene Robinson…he’s one of the reasons that I came HOME! 👍 Keep on sending 'em Gene…we’ll take the smart ones leaving the ECUSA all day long! Wish that the Church could express route them in.

This thread should be moved…it’s a disgrace to mention Gene Robinson even near Traditional Catholicism…ya know

I didn’t know where else to put it. Thought this would be best place.

How do they interpret the scripture dealing with this situation?
