A co-worker recently told me he is “borderline suicidal.” He wasn’t joking. We have been talking about faith, Christ, and the nature of God, but he doesn’t believe there is any judgment after death. He was raised Catholic but lapsed in his youth. This year has been very difficult so far with severe personal tragedies in his life.

Please pray that he resists any temptation to destroy himself and finds faith, God willing.

I will pray. I have the same thoughts from my life. Not that I don’t believe there is judgment, but only because of what my life/has wrought: destruction, loneliness. Lord Jesus Christ, son of the living God, have mercy on us miserable souls/sinners. There have been suicides in my family. Lord have mercy. Holy peoples pray for us! Lord save us, this young man. Mercy. '-(
 
Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. Make use, I implore you, of that particular privilege accorded to you of bringing visible and speedy help where help is almost despaired of. Come to my assistance in this great need, that I may receive the consolations and succor of heaven in all my necessities, tribulations and sufferings, in particular (Neithan), and that I may bless God with you and all the elect throughout eternity. Praying that your co-worker will not commit suicide a and will seek professional help if these feelings continue. May the Holy Spirit lead him to faith in Christ and realize that with God all things are possible.

God hears all prayers. God has heard his. Now he should pray or do for someone else. That’s how love works - give it away. For three days, Our Lady became that Singular Vessel of Devotion while that of those around her waned. Your friend is in good company.
 
Praying for your coworker to be free of his suicidal thoughts and feelings and that he will turn back to God and his faith.

Please, if you can, direct him to a Priest. He needs to know that ahead of him are better times that he won’t want to miss. There is a way through anything. Suicide is not the way. God wants him to live. Will be praying for him, that the Holy Spirit will touch his heart and make his worth known.
