how is that a counterargument? sure its an explination for catholics and that is valid and you kinda of gave a counterargument for the torah observant chirstians but not for the jewish one

Well, I’m not following your objection to begin with I guess. Which of my posts were you originally referring to?

welll the first one was a response to mainly the torah observant chirstians and the rest was a catholic response to catholics over the issue .

so my objection would be taking aside the whole the catholics choose what interpreation is true how to respond to the now the jewish argument.
which to clarify since i over simplified it its how this verse proofs that paul was misquoting or altering the text to fits his idea that if you dont follow all the law you are cursed since as our jewish comentor pointed out

“Gd, is the highest good because it gives us a blueprint concerning how to lead a meaningful, purposeful life in our relationship to Gd and to others. Further, according to Judaism, it is not an all-or-none situation.”
the post of the rabbi agrees : " Gd, is the highest good because it gives us a blueprint concerning how to lead a meaningful, purposeful life in our relationship to Gd and to others. Further, according to Judaism, it is not an all-or-none situation.

BTW, I’d also add here that Paul said that he, personally, excelled at fulfilling the law as a Pharisee, but that this still wasn’t enough.

Well, whose commentary and concepts concerning this matter should be more valid, Paul’s back in that day, or the Rabbi’s more recently? An honest question either way but apparently Paul connected observance of the law to being “salvageable”, while, apparently, some, as with the Sadducees, didn’t believe in an afterlife to begin with! Jesus came to give us the right understanding of Torah as far as Catholicism is concerned. The right or full understanding of messiah and his role, the right understanding of the promised land as really being an eternal inheritance in the next life, the right understanding of what truly makes us just in the eyes of God, the reality of angels as some also objected to, etc.
