I am new to the forums here, so I was curios are there any priests that answer these questions on the forum? Heres my other question:
I read that the devil rules earth and if so, when Humanity decides to leave earth through technology, to another planet, will the Devil still have power over us? Thanks.

It’s mostly lay people on this forum. If you have a question for a priest, try the “Ask an Alogist” forum on this site.
Heres my other question: I read that the devil rules earth and if so, when Humanity decides to leave earth through technology, to another planet, will the Devil still have power over us? Thanks.
Since the devil doesn’t have a body, he isn’t “located” on earth in the same way we are. It’s not like he’s stuck here and can’t get off the earth. He doesn’t occupy physical space. He has the power to tempt us regardless of where we are.

Thank you for your reply, it makes sense I mean I know he doesn’t have a physical body, I just thought he was bound to earth.

“The God who made the world and all that is in it, the Lord of heaven and earth, does not dwell in sanctuaries made by human hands, nor is he served by human hands because he needs anything. Rather it is he who gives to everyone life and breath and everything.” - Acts 17:23-24

God is the ruler of Heaven and earth. The devil’s dwelling place is in Hell and unfortunately, within the hearts and minds of men. So even if we traveled to the farthest reaches of the universe, the devil still would “have power over us” as we would still carry the devil in our desire for sin and evil.

But before you lose hope, remember that the devil really has no “power over us” except for the power that we give him. It is in our own weaknessess that the devil gains a toehold but Jesus is our hope, our forgiveness, our strength - even at the ends of the universe.

P.S. Where did you read this stuff? It helps to know the context.

May HIS force be with you.

sure heres some stuff I found.

One day the angels came to present themselves before Yahweh, and Satan also came with them. Yahweh said to Satan, “Where have you come from?” Satan answered Yahweh, "From roaming through the earth and going back and forth in it. Then the LORD said to Satan, “Have you considered my servant Job? There is no one on earth like him; he is blameless and upright, a man who fears God and shuns evil.” “Does Job fear God for nothing?” Satan replied.” (Job 1:6-9)

Jesus Himself referred to the Devil as “the ruler of this world” or “prince of this world” (John 12:31, 14:30, 16:11).

What do you think?
