DH birthday on Wed NEED IDEAS!

So its DH birthday on Wed. and we’re trying to save money in these scary economic times.

I’m hoping to get some ideas on things I could do for him to make his day awesome with little or no $ spent.

So far I’m making him his favorite dinner and a homemade cake…

That’s where I blank. Any other ideas or suggestions?

Do you make his lunch? You could include a little birthday note.

Also–what about sending a bunch of fun birthday ecards throughout the day? I like the ones on hallmark.com.

And…most guys like a wife who dresses up special just for them.

Does he have a favorite movie? You could rewatch it together or maybe rent a movie that he’s been wanting to see.

Does your DH have a favorite candy? You could easily spend $5 and get him a yummy and thoughtful surprise for his lunch box!

Let’s see…if you rent the movie and get the candy that’s about $10.

Write him a love letter. Tell him how much you appreciate what he does…tell him how safe you feel with him…tell him how handsome he is…

For DH’s birthday last week I woke up extra early and made him pancakes, sausage and eggs for breakfast before work. For dinner we had his favorite food, a cake, two humble gifts, and some friends over to share it all with. During the day while he was at work DS#1 and I colored lots of balloon pictures and hung them all over the living room for him. It was fun and nice.
