Ok, so I feel a tad selfish and whiney, but please forgive me. This is not the first time that DH has had to travel, but this is the first time that he will be gone for so long (a week…) since we got married. Any ideas on how to make this easier? This last time he was only gone for two nights and I did just fine, but tonight is night #1 and I’m feeling miserably lonely. :crying: I think a great deal of my angst is coming from the fact that we had one of those deep, but not so pleasant conversations last night about our where our lives are headed (he’s in grad school, I’m ready to stop TTA’ing, he’s wants to wait until after graduation & buying a home, etc. etc.) We didn’t have a fight, but I feel excessively vulnerable and I’m afraid that he will be distracted worrying about me when he should be concentrating on his research (why he’s travelling). Any advice on how I can not only feel better but help him feel better, too? He keeps calling to check in on me (at each of his travel “breaks”) and already he’s got that strained, weary voice of worry. Ok, I’m not sure that made any sense. Sorry!
