Yes please take your medication and don’t be afraid of insulin injections most come in a pen now the two that I take do and the needles are very thin so there is virtually no pain.

At this point, I am not on insulin, but neither do I want to be on this medication. I am very conflicted about this med because of the potential side effects, but my sugar levels are not doing real good. Right now I am having problems trying to lose weight. I have been praying about this, but still have no guidance. I see the doctor tomorrow.

Can you eat a whole grain/no processed food diet, i.e. substitute figs for cake/pie?

Patroness of Diabetics

St. Pauline, you suffered much in your life blind with diabetes. In heaven, you can see clearly now. The love of God and the sick, enabled you to endure tragedy; your example will forever be our vision.

St. Pauline, ask God to give Lakotak the strength to sustain this illness, and to allow her body to produce energy needed to function. We ask your loving intercession to control her blood sugar and other risk factors, so her body will live and she may live to help others.

St. Pauline, intercede to Our Savior to help the newly diagnosed Diabetics throughout the world so they may have medical and Divine intervention.

Healing Heart of Jesus cleanse us from all sin to be Reborn in Faith, Hope and External Love.

Have you gotten a second opinion from another endocrinologist? Maybe there are other options. I, too, am diabetic. There is too much danger in NOT doing anything!

O Jesus, You accepted Your suffering so that we might have eternal life. Give our hardship meaning and ease our fears as You turn our suffering into a source of joy. Your servant, St. Josemaría Escrivá, was cured after suffering with diabetes for ten years. He used his many obstacles and physical ailments as a passageway to holiness. Through his experiences You taught him that “sorrow is the touchstone of love.” Overcome our sorrow with Your enduring love and purify us, body and soul. I ask this through the intercession of Mary, Our Mother and St. Josemaría Escrivá. Amen.
