I was a deacon way back in 1974 I was arrested by the police in England whilst talking to
a person whom it later turned out was a rent boy.I had never met him before and as I was
dressed in clerical clothes he vstruck up a conversation, when I say arrested I was taken to a police car where I was asked my name and address and occupation all of which I supplied.I was then told to go home I heard no more about it from the police, but about
3 days later I was summoned to see the provincial who informed me that he had been told
by the diocesan authorities of what had happened and that therefore i could not be ordained and that it would be in the best interests of the Church that I should seek a
dispensation.Having no one to advise me as to my rights under canon law,I did as i was
told and applied for and was granted one.I am now 64 years of age and have been married
for trhe past 33 years and have 2 grown up sons, but now would like to be a married
deacon.What is my position?

Not good.

You would need a bishop to support you and then Rome would have to over turn its ruling that released you.

With your history and what is going on in the Church today I find it highly unlikely that you could find a bishop who would support you in this.
