The Jews of Moses’s time did not need to have words for smartphones and laptops.
Sure they did.

What’s ancient Hebrew for “slave”?

 🤣 🤔
Ancient Egyptian?
My uncle learned both 14th Dynasty Egyptian and Estruscan (as well as latin, greek, and most of the modern European languages and Scottish Gaelic). My father took him to the rosicrucian museum, and he pointed out errors . . . similarly when I was in the Luxor with him . . .
What about Esperanto?

Just to make Elvish and Klingon look practical?

Discussing practicality in a thread on ancient/dead languages… interesting.

@DictatorCzar Why do you want to learn these exactly? You sound like you don’t really have a concrete idea on why you plan on picking up any of these languages.
Also, you really should just pick one for now. Learning a language is time-consuming and hard, and progression can feel very slow at times. I can’t imagine learning multiple at the same time, although I don’t doubt that some talented individuals can pull it off.

I meant like the original languages or at least languages that are good for Biblical study. There are different dialects but I’m scared I might study the wrong dialect and make the journey a bit harder on myself.
