I have been hearing a lot about dialogue between the church of Constantinople and the Roman Catholic Church. What does this mean and how far along are we from partial communion? Any info will be great :).

The church in Constantinople is only one of ~15 self ruled Jurisdictions. The EP is considered the “first among equals” but has no universal authority of the entire EO church.

There is IMO no such thing as partial communion as communion implies and acceptance of the teachings of the church in question. also there are more issues than merely Papal authority.

Both churches hope for reunion, but are farther apart than the man on the street realizes.

There have been many exhaustive threads on this website on this subject by people on both sides more informed than myself, suggest you search.
