Ever since Vatican II the Church through our Holy Father and others, have been in dialogue with non-Christian religions(i.e. Islam, Hinduism, etc.).
My concern is, is our Holy Father and others, are they sharing the gospel with these folks. Are they telling them that salvation is only in Jesus Christ and in Him alone. Do they tell them that Jesus died on the cross for them. I am sure there are things that we have in common with other religions(i.e. desire for world peace), but the great commission tells us to make disciples of all nations and not sit around to find what we have in common.
I think the Church is amiss when we sit and talk butmdo not share the gospel with those who are lost in sin.

The word is dialogue, not monologue. That means a two way conversation. You get to tell the non-Catholics that they need Christ to be saved. The Hindus get to tell you that you need Krishna to be liberated. Everybody goes home angry.

There are better ways to run a dialogue than the method you suggest. I am sure that the Pope is aware of how to have a reasonable and fruitful dialogue. For example, without converting members of other religions, would it be worthwhile to enlist their support against abortion? That is short of converting them to Christianity, but it is surely a good step.

There should be nothing to fear about dialouge with anyone, of any belief. If you are firm in your faith that your belief is the truth.
The gospel message has been sent by the Catholic Church for many years. Each mass each day, in every corner of the earth.
Each member who practices their faith in the world spreads the gospel. One must pray the Holy Spirit will enter the hearts of those who desire to know the true God. Offering up sufferings for the conversion of sinners and unbelievers is a good start. Dialouge is not an approval of religions lacking the full truth, its a christian way of opening one’s heart to see the good in someone else.
