Peary, I don’t see any such differences either.I really don’t see any “doctrinal issues” which are different. Vatican II did not change any Church doctrine.
But I guess when people want to see you go down, they’ll do whatever it takes to bring you down. Especially if you have a lot of churchgoers there. They will toss in more obstacles, like the New Mass. They’ll throw in more “spirit of Vatican”, Magisterium, polls, and whatever else it takes. We see that in politics all the time. I think they call it “moving the goalposts.”
Maybe I’m exaggerating things a little, I don’t know. After all they did lift the excommunications and agree to have the talks even after the Bishop Williamson’s fiasco. But I feel the SSPX issues will never be fully resolved. Same goes for the Anglican situation.
