In my Father’s house there are many mansions…There are other sheep which are not of this flock…What do you make of that?
“This flock” is the Chosen People, and the “other sheep” are the gentile nations.

Your comment which implies that you are not confident in your life if you can’t say yes or no to this poll made this thread lose all credibility to me.
Well, Surprise and Patience For the “We The People”. Let see, I believed in Democrise, So I go by Vote/Poll. 🙂

I didn’t say it was certain, only probable. It really isn’t about wishful thinking.
No, you didn’t write that, and I’m sorry I made it seem like you did. 😊

You aren’t saying that it’s a certainty, but I have heard scientists on TV who have said it based on the “universe is so big” explanation. And there are those who are wishing as hard as they can that there are aliens for a variety of reasons, some of which are more about what they’d like to believe than about what is really possible.

I believe that it is probable that life exists elsewhere in the universe, not just on Earth. I do not believe this life has visited us. But I think the size of the universe indicates that God has probably created life elsewhere.
I agree with you. Sorry i deleted some of your post which i donot like. But rest is same

What is it Tomsheikh? i hope you’ll not tell us the Quran mentions aliens 😉

If there are aliens, the size and inhospitable nature of our universe excludes the possibility that the flying saucers are real physical aliens in physical spaceships. UFO sightings are, IMO, either demons, natural phenomena, or hoaxes. Or errors on the part of the observors.

That said, I have no idea whether or not there are other planets in the universe that have life.

You’re right that a lot of scientists tend to treat it as a certainty. They also constantly proclaim the Earth an ordinary planet with nothing unique about it. Until we find a planet with life, the Earth is pretty darn unique, IMO. I think the reason so many scientists are certain about intelligent alien life is their hopelessness about current human affairs. They think these beings, if they contact us, are advanced creatures that can show us how to save ourselves. Carl Sagan liked that idea a lot and that belief is easily identified in his novel, Contact. I guess that is a result of their atheism/agnosticism.

You dislike my name so you edit it? Is it sinful for a Muslim to write down someone’s name that contains disagreeable theology?

One of the primary reasons I don’t believe intelligent alien life has visited us is the immense difficulty in traveling between the stars. It takes a lot of energy to go near-light speed, with light speed being the universal speed limit, and it still takes many, many years. I can’t imagine an intelligent race coming here for centuries for some kind of regular (and apparently repetitive) research on those kinds of timescales. Methods of manipulating the universal speed limit require so much energy that I do not believe any intelligent race would experiment with it. Those that would try it have probably destroyed themselves a long time ago.

I agree. The energy that would be required to travel between stars is way too much for such a journey to be feasible.

Also, I agree about Sagan. It’s an attempt to find some Savior other than Jesus. It’s an attempt to satisfy a real human need, for some, with a Christ other than the one God has given us. Marxism’s utopian dreams have a similar theme.

100 years ago the same could be said about most technology we take for granted today. The theories regarding suspended animation for the travellers or the bending of space/time may be engineered some time in the future, so to limit the possibility based upon what we know now is not sound.

Oh, come on. Certainly some may be trying to use the ‘other life’ argument to discredit God on some level, but I doubt most think that way. I don’t know about Sagan when he was alive, but Dawkins clearly would make such an argument, but he is wrong on other things I doubt I would take his word on this either.

If humanity on Earth is truly unique and alone in the universe it would not change my theology at all. If we are not alone then I will assume God is known to other life in ways we might not understand, but is known none the less.

And it is more than ‘just becasue the universe is so big there must be other life’ argument. I can see and accept the evolutionary geologic and animal life evidence on our own planet and still accept them as the manner in which God created everything. These natural proccesses are within Natural Law and that is God. I think these same proccesses are catholic (universal) to the universe!

Personally I believe Man did not evolve from other life, but is a unique Created being placed here sometime in Earths history. The Tower of Bable story gives me reason to believe it true because I find it interesting that about 5000-7000 years ago cultures sprang up all over the world with similarities that are otherwise not easily explained. Why are there pyramids in Central America and Asia that are arguably within a few centuries of each other?

If evolution was the genesis of humanity it seems less likely multiple civilizations would aquire certain abilities and characteristics around the globe as they are known to be now. Plus the time period required by most evolutionists in the rate of change within species is much longer than what we also hold as ‘fact’. Abraham is considered to have lived within the Bronze Age if I am not mistaken. The age before that is millions of years older.

I think modern humans; homo sapien-sapien have been on Earth for maybe 40,000 years. The creatures before that are not Human as dna has shown with little to no likelyhood of interspecies breeding which rules out being evolved from it.

Life elesewhere within the universe is almost certain based upon statistical probability. Human life and/or other inteligent life with similar knowledge of God as we understand is a bigger unknown, but not improbable.

I don’t think it is impossible to travel between the stars but going near-light speeds is still very slow. An alien life form is either going to have to be very long-lived or use suspended animation. However, I do not believe alien life is visiting us right now. The journey is difficult and probably dangerous. If abductees are to be believed, these aliens seem to be doing the same research over and over again on a large number of people, over what appears to be several centuries. That seems to be an unlikely thing to do for an intelligent, advanced race of beings. As for warp travel, wormholes, etc, the level of energy required goes beyond what we can really comprehend. For example, one physicist came up with a method of warping space that requires much less energy than initial research indicated. However, it still requires the energy of thousands of suns. While it is possible to one day harness that energy, the danger involved in handling said amounts of energy would seem to preclude the development of said warp technologies by any race that was remotely cautious. Similar energy requirements exist for other theoretical methods of FTL travel. Even if you find ways of FTLT that use less energy, the amounts required to bend a law of the universe are still going to be considerable and still dangerous.

Sorry, But I need to get answer in Yes or No. You have to be confident in your life. I will prefere everyone to be straight forward in your polls. I will tell later which post i like the best in the END of the Poll. After this thread go invalid. Thanks For Your Participations Guys.
Are you kidding?
This is NOT a yes or no answer.
I am VERY confident in my life
(what ever that has to do with this)
and I stand by my answer!!

“Only God Knows”

No to intelligent life (except angels and demons). Maybe to unintelligent life

What is it Tomsheikh? i hope you’ll not tell us the Quran mentions aliens 😉
Well I would like to mention saying in quran where my father read it some where that “After death you do not know where we will send you” Something like this mentioned in Quran. Sorry I did not know the exact Surah and Verses & My father didnot know it where it is also. But he is reading everyday and he said he is going to note this time the Verses from it. But when I found out I will post it. So I do not want to concluded and predicted whats that mean until i will found out about that Surah and Verses Exactly.🙂

I know that God Knows AlessandraRose

If we treat them like illegal aliens I can understand why they would be reluctant to contact us.

Why wouldn’t space aliens want free health care and education for their children without having to abide by the laws required of leagal US citizens? Maybe next May hundreds of thousands or space aliens will march in our streets demanding rights from a Constitution they otherwise ignore and are not subject to.

No, It is not sinful. The reason I removed Christ word coz we muslims believes that jesus pbuh is not Crucified. Christ means Crucified I guess. Thats Why I disliked it. Thats All. But I will this time leave it like that coz I hurt you. Sorry. And Allah prohibited not to hurt anyone.

Well you don’t believe that Jesus Christ was crucified because mohamad got it all wrong.
Christ means Crucified I guess.
Christ DOES NOT mean “crucified” - you guessed wrong and instead of guessing, perhaps your should do some research first. Remember, google is your friend at all times.

Christ means “Anointed”, the Greek translation of the Hebrew word translated “Messiah

Here is an explaination and definition for your understanding.

Christ is the English term for the Greek Χριστός (Khristós) meaning “the anointed”,which as a translation of the Hebrew מָשִׁיחַ (Mašíaḥ,), carries much of its original Jewish meaning of “Messiah”—“one [who is] anointed” or appointed by God with a unique and special purpose (mission) on Earth.
Thats Why I disliked it. Thats All. But I will this time leave it like that coz I hurt you. Sorry. And Allah prohibited not to hurt anyone.
Oy Vey!!!
