I was hoping the students had opportunity to interact with the opposite sex? On Saturday were boarding school students confined to the school? No frolicking through town on the weekends.

Yes, several Catholic schools. Convent and co-ed. Preferred them to public school.

I went to 8 years Catholic grade school.
Four (4) years public high school.

From first through eighth grade, I attended a Catholic elementary school in New York City, run by the Grey Nuns of the Sacred Heart. It was co-educational.
I went to high school at a Jesuit high school, also in New York, All boys.
One year of a Catholic (also Jesuit) college. I transferred to another college after my first year. Nothing to do with religion, just that the first college didn’t have much of a program in the area I wanted to study.
