I was just wunderin if they worked like the man sez they do.

I saw some of those absorber things in wal mart and was curious if the same thing? Gary Mays sez don’t be fooled by imitiations. “Made in Germany and we all know what good towels they make.”

Hmmmmm.

Oh whenever I see those commercials I always tell DH I am gonna order some 😃 I mean we are throwing our money away using paper towels anyways. LOL

But I always laugh when he pours coke on the carpet and it makes a mess then he says “were gonna do this in real time” and they show the mess again–but its magically cleaned up and no more coke splatter on the surrounding tile. Like Yeah sure that was real time HAHA.

Maybe I just analyze that commercial too much. 🤷

So y’all didn’t order one?

I wanted to, but I dont trust infomercials LOL

I am waiting until I can either try one out myself before I buy it or someone says they work.

Well look, somebody has to take a few arrows for the collective.

Tawk Travis into coming off the hip and ordering a sham wow, then come back here and tell us if it works LOL.

I own a couple sham-wows. Yes, they really work, although I have hardwood throughout the house. Yes, you can really throw them in the washer and have them come out clean. They are microfiber densely woven. I also have several microfiber cloths of various sizes that work just as well. It’s just the sham-wow came in a bigger size.

I still use paper towels, BTW.

We have them too:D 😛 I use them when a kid spills thier drink on the counter or table (which is everyday around here) there good for a quick clean up.

I get a kick out of the Sham-Wow ad, but: When I use a paper towel, it is because I am cleaning up something that I *want *to throw away.

I mean: If I had a severed artery and needed to recover my life’s blood, I suppose I might go the Sham-Wow-and-pie-plate route from the commercial, but ordinarily…

Who is, however, mighty tempted by the Big City Slider Station
😛

My Bro got one from my sis for XMas, right away we tried the soakin up the water out of the dish-no -drip thing…really worked. The carpet thing sort of worked… but not like the tube makes it look. The under pad was still wet. I still am going to try to snag one from my bro next time Im at his house and he’s not looking… to use as a bath mat.

First time I saw that ad, it was a few days before Christmas. If I didn’t already have a gift for my dad, I would have bought that for him (he loves sliders). As it was, the commercial came on when we were at my parents’ house for Christmas. Dad got really excited about it, especially when Billy Mays put chopped onions in the burger molds. Guess I know what to get for Father’s Day- and will hope that Mom doesn’t disown me for it.

We got some last summer. Yes, they really do work. We saw the poured Coke demo in person, but there was no pad under the carpet, just the carpet.

I still use paper towels, though. I mean, I am not going to wipe up a cat hairball with the ShamWow…

We also have the water globes (work OK).

We have the PediPaws. That is wonderful, especially for the dog. He HATES having his nails cut and had started to nip me when I would try to do it. With the PediPaws though, he sits there so nice and lets me trim them down perfectly. Takes a little longer, but it is worth it.

Maybe its just me but does the Ped Egg comercial make anyone else want to throw up? Ewwww I cannot stand that commercial. Seeing all that skin that comes off your feet…:bigyikes:

Y’all are awesome. All you need now is the snuggie and you have the tri fecta. I like the old guy eating popcorn while in a snuggie. LMBO. He’s also in the handi switch commercial. The one where his wife has to get outta bed to turn the light off and and he’s just laying there shakin his head.

Be sure to pick up some Mighty-Putty in case your aqua-globes break, and some Mighty-MendIt in case your ShamWows or Snuggis tear.

Hmmmm… If you put your pants back together with Mighty-MendIt, and then wash them in Oxy-Clean, which do you think would win? :hmmm:

Oh my gosh- the Snuggie people look like cult members. That’s the only thing I can think of when I see that infomercial.

Me neither. I learned the hard way. I ordered one of those handy-dandy diamond tipped, folding hand saws… that (supposedly) will cut through iron pipes, bricks, 747’s and so forth… :rotfl:

Well, I got the blippin’ thing… and it won’t even cut through a TENNIS BALL :nope: which was the purpose I had bought it for. To cut tennis balls, for my mothers aluminum walker.

Boy, did I feel DUMB. :yukonjoe:

What size of dog?

I was going to get a “dremel” tool and also use it for the dogs nails… he is 130lbs and has very hard, thick nails. PediPaws or Dremel?

We use a dremel for both dogs, one small 20lbs and one about 145lbs. Dh loves it because then he and ds have a fun tool to play with and I can keep the dogs nails trimmed.👍
