Akshully, I waited 'til after Christmas and found a Chia Pet Cat Grass planter for $3.00 at Walgreens! Didnā€™t care if it was so umm 20 years ago the cats like grass and hopefully the tortoise shell wonā€™t carry it around as it will be too heavy (last cat grass we got was grown in a little plastic tray and she hauled that thing around and even dropped it in their water bowl)!

As a gift years back from my kid, I luv fishingā€¦ took it out the next trip, made her use it.

She threw it in the bay after 15 minutes.

My co-worker swore his girlfriend wanted the Clapper for Christmas, and wanted to know where he could get oneā€¦

Later I asked him if heā€™d gotten her oneā€¦he replied that it was a short-lived gift.

Apparently he didnā€™t realize it would react to ANY sudden sound (cough, sneeze, dropped bookā€¦)

No, not this year Puzzleannie.

I got my wife a couple pieces of jewelry though (well, actually she picked them out. I have learned to do it this way; not as exciting, but there are fewer ā€œmistakesā€).

But she also got a swivel sweeper. And it really really works.

Iā€™m surprised the Clapper even made a comeback. I remember seeing it (again) a few years ago on one of the major news channels. Every time the reporter spoke, the lamp would flicker on and off. Iā€™ve always invisioned someone watching a sports playoff game. The crowd goes wild, and the TV goes blank. šŸ˜ƒ

I saw this thread and just HAD to comment. My husband LOVES the Sham-WOW commercial. He raves about it. He thinks the guy who does an awesome job delivering his pitch. I think the commercial is ridiculous, and more than once Iā€™ll be in another room and Iā€™ll hear my hubby turn up the volume and shout , ā€œItā€™s your favorite commercial!!ā€

DONā€™T GET ME STARTED ON THE SNUGGIE. Are you KIDDING ME??? They are a crime against humanityā€“in 3 nasty colors. Itā€™s like some company was stuck with a bunch of ugly fabric and had to come up with something to do with it.

Iā€™ve been in professional business sales over 25 years. I cringe everytime I hear that guy. All I think about is a sleazy used car salesman wearing a silly, unneeded, Madonna type microphone.

Well Elizabeth must be a Florida thing. Only thing I see him on is shamwow. Now next time ya see him, lemme know so I can find it on youtube.

It was indeed the SlapChop with Graty as the bonus gift! I saw it yesterday.

Thing is, my grandmother had a similar device with a jar on the bottom.
