I got a cross necklace and earring set this year.

They were all home for Christmas, that was the best gift.

Does the Sound of music DVD count? There are nuns and a convent???

I gave Catholic type gifts 😃

Mom - gold (plated) rosary and a bookmark/prayer card to Our Lady of Perpetual Help

Dad - a bookmark/prayer card to the Holy Spirit, the Chaplet to Saint Joseph, and a Healing Folder/5 year Membership in the Association of Marian Helpers

Sister - a 22k gold on sterling guardian angel medal and a Holy Spirit T-shirt from romanticcatholic.com

One of my sons gave me the Pope’s book Jesus of Nazareth. I’m stoked!
My father-in-law got that one. My mom gave us a beautiful gift set of gold, frankincence and myrrh. They each have their own velvet lined decorative box. I am going to ask my priest about placing them up in near the altar for the Feast of the Epiphany.

My mom gave me 3 different Catholic books…and I gave her 2 Catholic books, lol. (Thank goodness we didn’t buy each other the same ones!!)

We’re big readers here, lol. 😃

I received a nice velor case for my rosaries & my mom made a donation in my name to Food For the Poor to feed a child in haiti for a year. THAT was the best present I could receive!:yup:

A statue of the BVM for my garden from my husband and daughters.
Hmmm we gave our younger daughter a pocket latin dictionary (it was one of the things she asked for). Maybe that counts.

I gave my wifey a Pearl Scapula Necklace hope to get it blessed at the next mass we go to.🙂

I made it a point to stop by the local Catholic book store/gift shop and stock up for my two and four year olds. I got them a Jesus and the little children nightlight, giant wood rosaries, bracelets with the saints on them, a new statue of Our Lady, and a new picture bible. Got the wife Amy Welborn’s Catholic Woman’s Book of Days. I had also bought a new crucifix for our infant’s room but my wife told me to find another place for it as she’s already got one in mind.:o Can’t win sometimes.

Everyone received and gave such beautiful and inspiring gifts of the faith–and a lot of them serve as constant reminders of our faith. Thank you for sharing!

My daughters got me a cd of “Into Great Silence”. 🙂
My son also got us the movie.

We got my dad a statue of St. Michael (he’s a retired cop), and we got one of the auxiliary bishops to deliver it to him and visit with him for about a half an hour. My dad is still on cloud nine.

Our oldest son also asked for a copy of “The Last Supper.” We were only too thrilled to buy it for him. 🙂

I got this…it’s beautiful, and I’m still in shock over it:eek:

My sister also got the kids and I a goat purchased in our names from Heifer International…which to me is a Catholic type gift.

 Oh my–that is absolutely beautiful! Breathtaking…how surprised I bet you were!!! I want one, too.:o Thanks for sharing–I’m glad you gave us a link–words could never have done it justice, as seeing the picture myself has done!🙂

MIL gave me a new nativity set; and DH gave me an iPod, which I’m currently loading with Relevant Radio archives, so I can listen at work, and on the way to/from there!

Groan…wish I had an iPod for the same reason…I had a cheapo off brand MP3 player that MIL got me last year. It was more hassle than it was worth to operate…

A gave a couple of friends (ladies) mantillas (chapel veil). I also gave a friend a Liturgy of the Hours breviary (single volume “Christian Prayer”).

I received a beautiful icon of the Wedding at Cana and a Christopher West book on one particular aspect of theology of the body.

All in all, it was a very nice Christmas. Except for the part where I learned my little brother has cancer.

How is a goat a Catholic gift?

My Fundamentalist friend gave me a Roman Missal that was originally published in the 1950s. She got it at an estate sale, and she said that as soon as she saw it, she immediately thought of me.

I was, of course, absolutely thrilled - not just about the book, but that she thought of getting it for me - I couldn’t have been happier. 🙂
