I thought it was good (although it remains to be seen if it’s comparable to DA).
Anything done now about that period is going to be somewhat anachronistic. Writers can’t really get into long-dead heads. Even DA suffered from this, to an extent (Sybil’s romance with Branson would likely not have survived, or been accepted, in the world of the time).
I watched it on line. To be honest I don’t know what I think of it. It has promise. The first show spends time introducing characters. I am sure they will have people with 21st century ideas here. It won’t be radical enough just to be an1860 radical. I will watch it again.
