Christianity is a religion of the meak, not the weak. I think people have run out of cheeks to turn.And my Catholic friends become sentimental whenever they read “three days” they go into say a sort of trance, as if it had some kind of sanctity.
So, it is all confusion in Catholicism, in my opinion, which would remain there if they don’t think rationally, logically and reasonably.
I however respect your faith, which is more of a blind faith, rather than being research oriented.

Why don’t you mention witnessing of Crucifixion of Matthew, Mark and Luke? Where were they standing when the event took place? Perhaps it was not an event of any importance for them. Was it for them important enough?

The question is: why were not all the twelve apostles present on the scene of Crucifixion? Was it so an insignificant incident that they were not there? And later they had to gather information from the hearsay.
The Catholics base their most important beliefs on this single incident, their ( the apostles’) lack of presence speaks volumes.

To me, JesusYeshuaIssa was put on Cross, on a move from hardened Jewish Clergy on Friday with the intention of killing JesusYeshuaIssa humiliatingly on Cross as per their Scriptures to prove him a false Prophet in terms of Deuteronomy 13:1-5 NIV:

So, in my opinion, Jesus could not be killed on Cross as he was a true Prophet of GodAllahYHWH like Jonah, as he himself prophesized . Jesus however died a natural and peaceful death in India, it could be Sunday or anyother day of the week.
