i was under the impression he was Catholic for most of his life. Wasn’t he the friend of Pope Urban VIII before his house arrest?BTW, Galileo, a year before he died recanted his position. He was a member of an anti-church organization. Then God got a hold of him and he converted.
well then if this is true then clearly the church did not hear this when Galileo was not under house arrest. Right?…Galileo’s view of movement is compatible with the idea of
an eternal universe, and that if the universe is eternal, one can
dismiss all arguments from the first cause or the first mover,
get rid of God and become an atheist
