Did God answer my prayer in 2 seconds?

Hi,
I’m sorry if this sounds silly but I was having a hard time finding a daycare for my baby and prayed to God to help me and immediately I saw online a daycare near my job with great reviews (but then i saw it had some violations later) and when I went to visit the woman who takes care of the babies was very nice and I feel comfortable with her but she left 2 infants alone while she went a few feet to the office to hand me papers that took about 3 minutes and I’m not sure that was safe as one of them was eating and could have choked. The owner is a rude lady and I don’t like her very much. The center has some violations for a variety of things, all corrected.
Then, confused I asked God to please help me ease my confusion. A few hours later I hit a call from a center I really liked, there was 1 opening left and i have a tour next Tuesday. Who knows if I’ll feel comfortable with the woman there like I did at this other place. I honestly don’t know why I even feel comfortable with her since she left two babies alone for 3 minutes.

Please, I still have a bit of baby brain and would love advice from my brothers and sisters in Christ.

Thanks for helping me learn to discern.

Well, first thing,
she left 2 infants alone while she went a few feet to the office to hand me papers that took about 3 minutes and I’m not sure that was safe as one of them was eating and could have choked.
Infants eat in the form of bottles. Leaving a child alone with a bottle is a big red flashing warning sign!

Second, thank God that you found quality care!!

Hi thank you! the baby was 6 months and eating a gerber cookie sitting . Do you mean quality care as in the 2nd choice that I’m going to see next week?

I mentioned it to the supervisor and she said curtly “that’s why we make appointments”.

My coworker used that center and had great things to say. I’m just confused.

I would not leave a child that young with a cookie.
I mentioned it to the supervisor and she said curtly “that’s why we make appointments”.
Red flag #2. At a quality daycare, parents can come in anytime.

You sound like you are happy for the other place.

Thank you, it’s just that immediately after my prayer I found that place and I don’t know if God is telling me to go with it based on that prayer. I was hoping for some help on that point thank you.

I’m just not sure how to know if God answered my prayer the first or second day care center.
Please someone help me discern.
Thank you.

Sometimes we think we like something, until we have the chance to contrast it with something else.

Wait until next Tuesday to see how you feel about one vs the other. Something else may happen in the meantime.

We never know the big picture— but if you ask for God’s will to be done, it can smooth things out even when we take a wrong turn.
