Of course you’re right. God had to be here before time so He could create time.

But how else to say it? You’d have to be a physicist or philosopher.

I think we could never really understand this. Just like we can’t really understand eternity because everything we know has a depth or a distance or a time limit.

Some kids have a difficult time accepting God because of the above. Years ago kids accepted God without too many questions. Today it’s changed, unfortuanately - even God has to be explained! (which is almost impossible - but we do our best!)
