Did God decide all things that would happen?

Before God created the world, did God decide all things that would happen?

Do popes or the Catholic church have any official opinions on this?
 
God KNOWS all things that happen. That’s not the same as deciding all things that happen. We have free will.

The “official position” of the Church is that we have free will.
 
Is there an official position that God did NOT decide everything before God created the world?
 
I know that there is free will, but I have heard some theories that God decided some things which involve free will. Perhaps that was done by deciding in advance what people would want to do.

You are on the wrong track. What you propose is the opposite of free will.
 
I think that what I propose and free will are not necessarily incompatible. Perhaps God decided in advance that someone would want to do something, and at that time, that person really wanted to do that thing and felt that he or she wanted to do that thing, but that was actually decided in advance by God.
