When I went to confession this evening (it was behind a screen) at the end the priest said I could go and then I asked him, “Father, did you absolve me?” because I didn’t hear him do it and he said he did it while I was saying the act of contrition. Is this acceptable? I did realize he was praying quietly yet aloud when I was saying my act of contrition. Thanks.
